UNIVERSITY PAVILION
LAGA 2010 Aschersleben [GERMANY]
The university pavilion is a cubic solid with a hard, rigid outer skin consisting of a wooden frame facade and a soft transparent inner skin consisting of membrane construction. The wooden exterior protects the transparent soft interior. The idea is that one can walk between the two different layers, and enter the inner structure by that.
With regard to the university, this building could represent the students learning process, who is confronted with the confusion of infinite knowledge during the studies. But by devoting time and attention, one can achieve a clear view by gaining knowledge.
