Bridge between buildings

14/04/2023: While walking alongside the Malacatos River on Avenida Universitaria in Loja, I came across an adventurous bridge connecting two buildings. Although I had seen it before, I finally decided to take some photos of it. The sight of the bridge piques my curiosity about the spaces connected behind the facade [to be continued when I get access to the buildings].

27/04/2023: Yesterday, I went to the building on the main road (seen on the right side in the picture). It is the Grand Hotel Loja. I spoke with the lady at the reception, who is also one of the owners. After asking her about the purpose of the bridge, she explained to me that first, they bought the property with the building on the main road. Later, they acquired the property on the side road, which is an apartment building with a parking lot on the first level and a laundry on the top level. The laundry service is for the hotel in the other building. However, because the owner of the property between the two buildings did not allow any possibility to connect them through his building, the bridge was built.
