Rural Scenes Malacatos 02: Facades of typical buildings

The buildings found in and around the parish of Malacatos can be divided into different categories based on their construction method and the building materials of the walls. Typical traditional buildings we define as being constructed using loam building techniques *1), such as tapia (rammed earth), adobe, bahareque, and by that are defined as earth buildings.


*1) Earth architecture_using mud, clay, soil, dirt & dust as a main building material
